Kareen Nahas has over 17 years experience as a professional Trompe L'oeil and restoration artist. She has explored and supplied practically every aspect of the design industry through out the world. She prides herself with an extensive knowledge of wood and marble finishes, glazing, stenciling, mosaic and gold leafing, as well as restorations and replicating rare finishes with historical accuracy (Metropolitan Museum of Art). No matter what the theme, ranging easily from exclusive nightclubs, elegant lobbies, (The Plaza Hotel), elaborate department store displays (Macy's), theatrical backdrops, murals, or someone's private residence, the illusions Kareen creates with her brush are endless and convincing. Flat surfaces come to life three dimensionally. Walls turn into scenic windows, sheetrock turns into rich, deep finishes of mahogany.
